From time to time, we all need to stretch out the ol' vocal chords, whether we have talent in the music realm or not. In this case, a sing-along event comes in handy. It's all about fun and games when Theatre Charlotte presents a Grease Sing-Along with a film screening with subtitled song lyrics, so you can sing your heart out. So what if you're no John Travolta or Olivia Newton-John? Chime in on "You're the One That I Want" and forget your troubles, as "it's electrifyin'!" A pre-show costume contest with prizes gives you the chance to dress up as your favorite Rydell High School character, whether that be a 'T-Bird' like Danny Zoko or one of the 'Pink Ladies' like Sandy Olsen. For tickets, call 704-372-1000 or visit www.carolinatix.org. $12. 7 p.m. Theatre Charlotte, 501 Queens Rd. 704-376-3777. www.theatrecharlotte.org. - Anita Overcash
