RE: Sarah Palin or Bob Dylan lyrics?

I know a few of the quotes sound kinda weird but some of them are inside jokes or comments. I assume the dead fish line is about Rham emanuel. Anyways I smell liberal fear.

The name thing is a legit concern. I know if I was on a rival team, I would call them ho's even if I knew the correct way to say the name. Leave it to the school board to decide its not a problem. It's not thier money so they waste it and its not their kids going to this school so who cares right?

RE: What I'm thankful for this Thanksgiving

Posted by frankgriffin on 11.24.09 @ 04:46 PM

I am glad you decided to put a cork in your misplaced complaints of Thanksgiving this year. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good right?

What I am thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Anyways, today I found out that my friend Sherman passed away. I am thankful for the time I had to work with him. He was the most laid back psuedo boss I ever had. He was incredibly private so there were plenty of things I never found out about him until he was gone. I discovered that he recieved purple hearts and was a medal of Honor recipient. I knew he was not happy about Vietnam so maybe thats why he never brought it up. He was incredibly proud that he lived to see the first president who was like him, a man of color.

One of the things people remember the most about someone who just passed away was the last conversation they had with that individual. The last conversation I had with Sherman was about about 2 or 3 weeks before he died. We always hope that our last conversation with someone would on a positive note. Luckily this was the case. Usually I ended a call by giving him some razz about how screwed up Obama was making things this week. The last topic turned out to be Sherman wishing that my company would finally be able to hire my wife so that my family could be together all of the time. I turned it around and told him I would prefer he used that wish for himself, so that he would be well since his life is much more important than the discomfort of being away from family. One week before he died, I heard that I will probably get a promotion and my company will probably be interviewing my wife for a position very soon. I wanted to inform him of the good news and tell him he had better make a few more wishes for me pronto! The only problem was that the next day I found out that he was in a hospice and was unresponsive. I really wanted to see him but I think I would have been going against what he would have wanted. I hate not being 100% certain about something so important and irreversible.

I may not have gotten my wish for his health but I am very Thankful for the time I had with Sherman and that his wish for me and my family is starting to become true. Rest in peace my friend.

RE: Hungering for a true Thanksgiving

I think Amy should lay the blame where it belongs. It belongs to the despots and communist leaders around the world. While Amy wants to beat up on the USA for not feeding the world, why not focus on why these countries can't feed themselves. Capitalism may not make everyone rich but it is the best tool we have to end poverty.

The 1 billion number may be correct but what Amy does not report is that there are now 6 billion people on earth. With 5 out of 6 people on earth not starving is proabably the highest percentage of people being fed in history. Its funny how liberals can twist a good thing into a negative when they want to beg for money.

There is also very little excuse for being hungry in America. There are so many programs to feed the poor it is not funny. The starving Americans are probably drug addicts or criminals on the run that cannot take part in the system without getting arrested.

Anyways this was yet another example of a FAIL by Amy.

RE: What the Fox?: The phony network's phony martyrs

3rd try to answer.

The entire Democrat party are cowards! They refused to hold a single debate on FOX. The republicans were not cowards and help most of thier debates on the Lame Stream Media.

FOX has actually been proven to be the most fair and balanced and the rest of them are proven to be incredibly biased.

one third of FOX viewers are Democrats so I dont think people tune in to validate their beliefs. I think they turn to the channel for some sanity in the reporting of news and opinion. It's hard to listen to the other news channels since they purposfully get it wrong so often and so badly.

Your link is for a local affilate DUDE! You are insane to extrapolate this out to represent all of FOX.

I would go on but I think you need to watch FOX a little to see what you are missing.

I didnt like the drug program Bush offered and Hanity still bring up how he didn't like it years later. Bill is actually pretty soft on Obama. I think Luke is mixing conservatism with the GOP since they are not the same thing.

Bush also got blasted on FOX when he tried his Amnasty BS.

The original contract with America stuff worked pretty good at first. Welfare reform worked out very good from what I understand. The GOP of course began to lose it's was soon after that.

3000 dead after 9/11 was justification enough to blast Afghanistan.

Part of the pacification did involve paying off a few groups. It seems to have worked so I am not inclined to knock it.

Atleast he got a pay day at the end.

Was he putting bombs together or something when he was captured? The bombs were for personal use so he is not a terrorist.

Why was he taken?

RE: The war condolences Obama won't send

It sounds like he should not have been sent back to war. These suicides suck but there are other things to consider. Maybe they will get their act together and prevent this from happening without the need for cowards like Amy to be sounding the horns of retreat.
