Playwright Karen Brody had a fixation on childbirth in America. As a result, she conducted more than 100 interviews with pregnant women (now THAT takes guts), before setting out to write her own play titled Birth. The play, based on eight women's real-life experiences with pregnancy, will be performed at Queens University of Charlotte's Hadley Theatre Nov. 12-15. Let the lamaze breathing begin.
